About Center
Center for Nonviolent Resistance
is a nongovernmental organization which was founded as a result of
strong commitment of group of young people to continue developing
civil society and democracy in Serbia and in the region which are
still under process of transition. Mission and the Center’s first
activities started to shape during 2001. Organization was officially
registered in 2004.

Aims
-
Development of civil society and
establishing partnership between representatives of civil sector
and political subjects;

Development of democratic institutions as a precondition for
establishing democratic society;
-
Promotion of dialog, tolerance and nonviolent approach in
resolving problems among all relevant actors on public and
political scene and in the society;

Initiation of, at least, minimal consensus
in the society, which is necessary for stable democratic
surrounding;

Promotion of participation and active
citizen’s roll in political life with particular emphasize on
larger inclusion of youth and women;

Contribution to the reconciliation processes and normalization
of relations in the region;

Establishing regional and international
cooperation with similar organizations;
